MortgageLoan.net is an independent rate-comparison site for U.S. homebuyers and homeowners. We are not a lender, not a mortgage broker, and not a licensed financial advisor. Our job is to make the mortgage market legible so you walk into your first lender conversation already knowing what a fair rate looks like.
What we do
Three things:
- Match you with lenders. Tell us the basics of your loan and we forward your details to lenders in our matching network. You get real quotes back, usually within five minutes, and pick the one that saves you the most.
- Show you a real payment estimate. Our calculator is not a marketing prop. It calculates principal and interest, adds property tax, homeowners insurance, PMI (when applicable), and HOA dues so the number you see is the number your lender will actually escrow for.
- Explain the parts of a mortgage that lenders never quite explain to you. Our guides cover how preapproval actually works, how much house you can really afford, FHA vs conventional, VA loans, and the loan options for self-employed borrowers.
How we make money
We are paid a fee by our lender network when a matched borrower requests a quote, and a commission by Credit Karma when a reader compares live rates through our partner link (Awin merchant 66532). That is what pays for the site. Nothing you use here costs you money, and nothing on the site is influenced by which lender pays us more.
What we do not do
- We do not originate loans. We are not a lender.
- We do not sell your details to third-party marketers outside the lender-match you request.
- We do not give personalized financial advice. Nothing on this site is an offer to lend, a commitment to lend, or the extension of credit.
